Residential Energy Efficient Property (REEP) Credit

This credit allows taxpayers to take a 30% credit for the cost of residential energy expenditures made in tax years after 2008 for solar electric generating property and solar water heaters, fuel cell property, wind turbine, electric generating property, and geothermal heat pumps.

Staff Accountant

Locations: Ephrata, Lititz, Reading, or Manheim

Purpose of the Staff Accountant:

The overall purpose of the Staff Accountant will include applying tax laws to minimize client obligations, keeping current on tax law changes and developing client relationships, and preparation of tax returns in. This position will also be responsible for accurate preparation and timely delivery of products and services.

Duties:

We provide a wide range of tax services to clients from multiple industries. The Staff Accountant will have a general understanding of the Internal Revenue Code, the tax laws of the Commonwealth of PA and local jurisdictions and adjoining states. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for creating and applying the tax laws to benefit our clients, minimizing their tax obligations to the relevant government agencies and at all times remaining within the parameters of the relevant tax laws, while aggressively representing our clients.

Compensation:

The pay is based on relevant experience, plus a bonus based on billing goals and management of juniors.

Office Manager

The purpose of the Office Manager is to handle the distribution of work, monitor employees' goals, maintain firm policies and procedures, and assist in the marketing and business development of the office(s) assigned to. Someone who has run their own business is strongly encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties (but not limited to):

  • Monitor the billing goals of each production based staff member. If any staff member is not reaching their goal, work with them to reverse the situation and reach their goal.
  • Distribute work to all staff members.
  • Handle all issues and conflicts that may arise, with the assistance of the HR department when needed.
  • Be involved with the recruiting, hiring, disciplinary and termination functions of employees.
  • Enforce all policies and procedures. Handle any situations where an employee violates existing policy or procedure with the assistance of the HR department as needed.
  • Establish promotional ideas for the firm, while coordinating with the Marketing Manager. This individual will be expected to bring in new business.
  • Communication with the staff on any updated policies, procedures, or changes within the firm.
  • Attend training and seminars to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to communicate face to face, over the phone, and via email in a professional manner.
  • Remain flexible to change as the position develops.

Tax/Technical Manager

Locations: Leola, Reading, Lititz, & Ephrata, PA

Full Time Position

This is the senior most accounting position in the office. For that reason the individual in this role must be a CPA/EA (7+ years of experience), have management experience, and be comfortable meeting with clients. This individual will act as the face of the office and ensure clients needs are being met.

The overall purpose of the Tax Manager will include applying tax laws to minimize client obligations, developing junior partners, keeping current on tax law changes and developing client relationships. This position will also develop strategic planning for firm in regards to tax issues.

Purpose of the Sales Assistant:

The overall purpose of the Sales Assistant will include answering incoming office calls, faxing/filing documents, generating reports using Microsoft Office, correspondence with internal and external clients, scheduling appointments and other duties as needed. This position will also be responsible for conducting the day to day operations of the office. The majority for the focus will be making out-going phone calls to potential businesses that could benefit from our services.

  • Previous phone sales experience-at least 50% of your time in this position will be dedicated to phone calls
